Jehoiada the Priest יהוידע הכהן

When Athaliah destroyed all the royal seed, one child escaped: Jehosheba, sister of the murdered king and wife of Jehoiada, took the one-year-old Joash and hid him with his nurse. For six years he lived in the House of the LORD while Athaliah reigned.

In the seventh year Jehoiada acted. He gathered the captains of hundreds, the guard and the runners, brought them into the Temple, showed them the king's son, posted armed men from the right side of the house to the left — and brought the boy out, placed the crown and the testimony on him, and anointed him. Athaliah came in at the noise, saw the king by the pillar and cried "treason"; Jehoiada ordered her taken outside the Temple precincts, so she would not die in the House of the LORD. Then a covenant was made between the LORD, the king and the people; the temple of Baal was pulled down and its priest killed before the altars.

Then came forty years of governing under a king who came to the throne at seven. Jehoiada devised the chest with a hole in its lid, set beside the altar — and the repair of the Temple, stalled for years, finally moved. The money was handed straight to the workmen without an accounting, "for they dealt honestly."

He died at a hundred and thirty and was buried in the city of David among the kings — "because he had done good in Israel, and toward God and His house." No one else in Scripture is buried so.

After his death everything he had held together fell apart within a few years — and his own son was stoned by order of that same king.
