Seder Olama timeline of Jewish history

Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 August 2026. Applies to seder-olam.com and to the Seder Olam apps for iPhone and Android.

In short. There are no accounts. We do not collect names, addresses or phone numbers, we show no advertising, and we neither share nor sell any data about you. Everything you set up in the timeline stays on your own device.

What we receive at all

Anonymous visit statistics. We use GoatCounter to see which pages are being read. It sets no cookies, builds no advertising profile and does not track you across sites. Only non-identifying information is recorded: the page opened, the referring link, the screen size, the country and the device type. An IP address is used solely to tell one visit from another and is not stored.

Technical error records. If a script fails on a page, the error message and the page address are recorded, so that the fault can be fixed.

What stays on your device and never leaves it

All of this lives in the local storage of your browser or app. We cannot see it. Clearing the site data or deleting the app removes it completely.

Children

The site and the apps are safe for children: there is no advertising, no in-content purchasing, no chat, no comments and no links to user-generated material. We deliberately collect no personal data from anyone, including children under 13.

External links

Articles link to Sefaria, the open library of Jewish texts. Following such a link takes you to a third-party site with its own policy. Any embedded video uses the no-tracking mode (youtube-nocookie).

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing to request the deletion of. If you have a question about how any of this works, write to ohmylittlemind@gmail.com; we answer in English, Russian and Hebrew.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it. Anything substantial will be described here plainly rather than buried in small print.
